Associate Acoustic Treatment Fabricator
MCA is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Associate Acoustic Treatment Fabricator. The successful candidate will assist in the fabrication and assembly of acoustic treatment products to meet the needs of our diverse clientele. This role requires a combination of technical skills, craftsmanship, and a passion for music and sound quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication: Assist in the fabrication of acoustic treatment products according to design specifications and quality standards.
Assembly: Assemble acoustic panels, bass traps, diffusers, and other custom acoustic treatments using various materials and tools, including saws, drills, pneumatic nailers, and power tools.
Material Handling: Move, store, and organize raw materials and components, including cutting, shaping, and organizing materials for fabrication.
Use of Tools: Operate saws, drills, pneumatic nailers, and power tools safely and effectively in the fabrication process.
Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized shop environment by regularly cleaning work areas, proper storage of tools and materials, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a safe and productive workspace.
Shipping and Logistics: Box and package finished products for shipment, including preparing orders for pickup by UPS and LTL freight services.
Collaboration: Work closely with your production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet our standards for appearance and performance.
Safety: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in fabrication, carpentry, woodworking, or related fields preferred.
Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in woodworking and fabrication.
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Passion for music, sound quality, and acoustic design is a plus.

Associate Acoustic Treatment Installer
MCA is seeking a skilled and experienced Installer to join our team. The Associate Acoustic Treatment Installer will be responsible for executing the installation of acoustic treatments in various residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sound and a strong background in cabinet installation, building, and carpentry, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Acoustic Treatment Installation: Install acoustic panels and other treatments safely, securely, and aesthetically, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with the existing space.
Safely work from stools, scaffolding, and ladders to install acoustic treatments.
Keep the work environment clean and safe.
Material Handling: Safely transport and handle acoustic panels and other materials to the installation site, taking precautions to prevent damage.
Driving a truck and trailer to and from installations
Loading and unloading acoustic panels and equipment into the trailer by hand, carts, and pallets.
Transport acoustic treatments to and from installations: Drive from our shop in East Nashville to the installation locations. Our installation vehicle is a Toyota FJ Cruiser pulling a 12’x7’ trailer.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of installations to ensure alignment, levelness, and overall quality, making adjustments as necessary to achieve optimal performance.
Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their acoustic needs, address concerns, and provide guidance on the use and benefits of installed treatments.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience installing acoustic treatments, cabinet installation, construction, carpentry, or similar relevant experience.
Proficient with drills, impact drivers, tape measures, saws, and power tools, demonstrating the ability to use them safely and effectively.
Experience driving SUVs/trucks with a trailer
Strong technical knowledge of construction principles and practices, with a focus on precision and craftsmanship.
Ability to read construction drawings and installation instructions and use SketchUp.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with acoustic treatments and soundproofing materials.
Familiarity with woodworking tools and equipment.
Basic knowledge of acoustics and sound principles.
