Every week we talk to worship pastors, tech directors, and volunteers who know something is wrong with the sound in their building but cannot name what it is. The sermon is hard to follow. Almost always, the room is the thing causing it, and almost always, nobody has ever looked at the room.

The most common acoustic challenge we see in church spaces is speech intelligibility and clarity. There are three primary acoustic tools we work with in church environments, and each serves a different purpose.
