Acoustic Cloud Install Guide

Your Questions: Answered

  • The cloud kit suspends panels on adjustable wire cables and turnbuckles, giving you full control over height and tilt after installation. It also supports heavier loads. The ceiling panel kit uses screw hooks and toggle bolts to mount panels approximately 2 1/2” below the ceiling surface, with no height adjustment. If you need to fine-tune positioning after installation or you’re hanging larger panels, go with the cloud kit.

  • Technically, yes. Realistically, grab a friend. One person to hold the panel, one person to handle the hardware. Large clouds especially should always be a two-person job.

  • A drill, the correct drill bits (sizes listed in the install guide), a pencil, a level, and a step ladder or scaffolding. A stud finder is helpful but not required if you verify joist locations with a small drill bit first.

  • The included screw hooks are designed for wood joists. Concrete ceilings, metal joist, hat channel, and multi-layer isolation ceilings will all require blocking and the appropriate fasteners, which are not included in this kit.
