The Air Gap Spacer mounts between your wall and acoustic panel to create a consistent 4” or 6” air gap, extending the effective absorption depth of your treatment without requiring a thicker panel. The result is significantly better low-frequency control, tighter room modes, and more accurate monitoring.

Each spacer is constructed from solid Baltic Birch and installs with the included 4” French Cleat and mounting hardware. Available in 4” and 6” depths.

Air Gap Spacers are built to order in our Nashville shop. Production typically takes 1–2 weeks, with most orders completed in 8–10 business days. Once finished, orders usually arrive within 3–5 business days.

If ordered alongside acoustic treatment, your order will ship together.

Most orders ship via UPS Ground. Local pickup is available in Nashville.

Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused and in original packaging. A 10% restocking fee applies, and return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. Custom and special-order items are not eligible for return.

Air Gap Spacers include a 3-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal indoor use.

Per spacer:

• Air Gap Spacer (1)

• 4” French Cleat (1)

• 3/4” Screws (2)

• Zip Toggles (2)

• 3” Screws (2)

• 2 ½ Screws (3)

Air Gap Install Guide

Your Questions: Answered

  • It creates a consistent 4-inch or 6-inch air gap between your acoustic panel and the wall. This added space allows the panel to absorb lower frequencies more effectively, improving overall room control without requiring a thicker panel.

  • Low frequencies have longer wavelengths and require more depth to be absorbed effectively. Spacing the panel off the wall increases the effective absorption depth, resulting in better bass control and smoother room response.

  • Both improve low-frequency performance. A 6” air gap provides slightly more low-end absorption than 4”. Choose based on your room size, your acoustic goals, and how much space you have between the wall and your listening position.

  • The Air Gap Spacer is ideal for studio owners, mix engineers, producers, and content creators who want tighter low end, improved monitor accuracy, and better mix translation without replacing their existing acoustic panels.
