Artist Room Kits are built for musicians, songwriters, and home creators who want a space that feels comfortable, balanced, and ready for ideas. These kits even out harsh reflections, reduce echo, and bring clarity to vocals and acoustic instruments — all without turning your room into a technical studio.

If you want a room that feels better to play in, easier to record in, and more inspiring to create in, these kits are a perfect starting point.

Every room is different. Windows, doors, furniture, and ceiling heights all affect where panels should go for the best results.

When you purchase any Room Kit, we'll design a custom layout specifically for your space. After your order is placed, we'll reach out to collect room dimensions and photos, then create a personalized placement plan showing exactly where each panel should go.

This is the same design service we offer through our Free Room Advice program, typically a $500+ value. The difference: with a Room Kit purchase, your product selection is already sorted, so we can focus entirely on optimizing placement for your room.

Room Kits are built to order in our Nashville shop. Production typically takes 1 to 2 weeks, with most orders completed in 8 to 10 business days. Once finished, orders usually arrive within 3 to 5 business days.

Smaller orders ship via UPS Ground, while larger orders ship via LTL freight to keep costs reasonable. Shipping is available within the continental U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii.

Local pickup is available in Nashville.

Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused and in original packaging. A 10% restocking fee applies, and return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Custom and special-order products are not eligible for return.

All panels and diffusers included in Room Kits carry a 3-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal indoor use.

Every Room Kit includes all the hardware you need to install panels in multiple configurations. You're not locked into a single layout.

Included hardware supports:

  • Standard wall mounting (2" Z-Clips included with every panel)
  • Corner mounting for bass traps panels
  • Ceiling clouds and flush-mount ceiling panels
  • Suspended installs in front of windows, built-ins, or furniture

Our suggested layouts show one way to arrange your kit, but your custom room design will show the best placement for your specific space. Installation guides are available as downloadable PDFs for every mounting method.

Each Room Kit includes multiple panel types. Full specifications, absorption data, and installation guides for every product are available on the individual product pages:

  • Hi/Mid Acoustic Panel
  • Broadband Acoustic Panel
  • Bass Trap Acoustic Panel
  • Tri-Corner Trap
  • SubFreq Bass Trap
  • Scatter Face Diffuser

Links to relevant product pages and downloadable guides will be included based on which kit variant is selected.

Why Artist Kits Exist

Most home studio musicians work in rooms that were built for living, not recording. These spaces tend to have flutter echo, reflections from bare walls, and inconsistent tone. Artist Kits focus on the reflections and frequencies that affect:

  • vocals
  • acoustic guitar
  • keyboard/soft synth recording
  • songwriting sessions
  • home demo production

The goal is not to create a technical mixing room, but a balanced, comfortable, and inspiring recording environment.

Essential → Plus → Pro: The Upgrade Path

Artist Essential

A great foundation that reduces echo and gives the room a stable, usable tone. Ideal for beginners and small rooms.

Artist Plus

The biggest audible improvement. Ceiling and back wall broadband panels greatly improve vocal consistency and low-mid clarity.

Artist Pro

Adds stronger control and tri-corner traps for more balanced recordings without overwhelming the room. Ideal for artists making fully produced home recordings.

Acoustic Priorities for Artist Spaces

While producer and mixer rooms require deeper low-end control, artist rooms benefit most from mid/high control and mild low-mid smoothing:

  • 1–6 kHz: harshness, vocal reflections, sibilance

  • 200–600 Hz: low-mid buildup that affects warmth and clarity

  • Sidewall reflections: impact vocal tone and “roominess”

  • Ceiling reflections: especially noticeable in 8' bedrooms

Artist Kits are designed with these real-world needs in mind.

Installation Flexibility

Every Artist Kit includes all hardware needed for:

  • standard wall installs
  • corner installs
  • ceiling installation (optional)
  • suspended installs for placing panels over windows, bookshelves, or furniture

Your room is unique — these kits adapt to whatever layout you have.

Your Questions: Answered

  • Artist Kits are modeled in a 10'x11'x8' room, but they adapt well to most standard home studio sizes. Smaller rooms work fine, and larger rooms may benefit from stepping up to Plus or Pro for more coverage. Every kit includes hardware for walls, ceilings, corners, and suspended installs to work around windows, doors, and furniture.

  • No. The suggested layouts show one way to arrange each kit, but every room is different. When you purchase a Room Kit, we'll create a custom layout based on your specific room dimensions, window and door placement, and how you use the space. That's included free with every kit purchase.

  • Yes. If you start with Essentials and want to expand later, you can add panels individually. Keep in mind that different kit tiers sometimes use different panel types, so upgrading isn't always a direct addition. Contact us if you want help planning a path that makes sense for your room and goals.

  • Every Room Kit includes all the hardware you need: 2" Z-Clips for wall mounting, corner trap hardware, ceiling panel hardware, and suspended wall panel hardware for mounting in front of windows or built-ins. Installation guides are available as downloadable PDFs for every mounting method.

  • Yes. Artist Kits are designed to reduce echo, control harsh reflections, and create a more balanced room for recording vocals and acoustic instruments. The Hi/Mid Panels target the frequencies where vocal clarity lives, and the Broadband Panels in Plus and Pro add low-mid control that makes recordings sound smoother and more consistent.

  • Ceiling treatment makes a noticeable difference in most home studios, especially rooms with 8' ceilings where vertical reflections are strong. Artist Essentials includes ceiling hardware so you can experiment with wall panels on the ceiling if you want. Artist Plus and Pro include dedicated ceiling panels because the improvement is significant for recording quality.
