Designed to mount your acoustic panels to the ceiling, with two options for how far your panels hang from the ceiling. Fixed Mount gives a clean, low profile drop of 3 inches using screw hooks or toggle bolts based on your joist layout. Adjustable Hangers suspend the panel on adjustable wires anywhere from 5 inches to 6 feet down, opening an air gap behind the panel that improves low frequency absorption.

Compatible with all standard MCA acoustic panels except 6'x4' and 8'x4' Broadband and Bass Trap panels. For larger panels or installations that require tilt and angle adjustment, see our Acoustic Cloud Hardware Kit.

*For concrete ceiling installations reach out to us for a modified kit.

Per panel:

• #6 Screw Hooks (4)

• 3/16” x 3” Eye Bolts (4)

• 3/16” Toggle Wings (4)

• 1 1/2” S Hooks (4)

• 1 1/2” S Hooks (2)

Always use screw hooks fastened to joists when possible. Depending on your ceiling layout, panels can be installed in two ways:

Screw Hook Installation: Used when panel hardware aligns directly with ceiling joists.

Toggle Bolt Installation: Used when panel mounting points do not line up with joists.

For full step-by-step instructions, required tools, and layout templates, refer to the complete Ceiling Panel Installation Guide. Professional installation may be recommended depending on ceiling type and application.

Ceiling Panel Install Guide

Your Questions: Answered

  • The ceiling panel kit mounts panels close to the ceiling (approximately 2 1/2” below the surface) using screw hooks or toggle bolts. The cloud kit suspends panels on adjustable wire cables and turnbuckles, giving you control over height and tilt. The cloud kit also supports heavier loads. Use the ceiling panel kit for standard overhead installations. Use the cloud kit when you need adjustability or you’re working with larger, heavier panels.

  • Not quite. This kit suspends panels approximately 2 1/2” below the ceiling surface. For a flush-mount ceiling installation, check out our Flush Mount Ceiling Panel panels.

  • A drill, the correct drill bits (sizes listed in the install guide), a pencil, a level, and a step ladder or scaffolding. A stud finder is helpful but not required if you verify joist locations with a small drill bit first.

  • The included screw hooks are designed for wood joists. Concrete ceilings, metal joist, hat channel, and multi-layer isolation ceilings will all require blocking and the appropriate fasteners, which are not included in this kit.

  • All of our standard acoustic panels are compatible, with the exception of 6’x4’ and 8’x4’ Broadband and Bass Trap panels. Those larger panels require the Acoustic Cloud Hardware Kit.

  • Use screw hooks whenever your panel mounting points align with ceiling joists. Use toggle bolts when they don’t. The install guide walks through how to determine which option works for your ceiling layout.
