Mixer Room Kits are for engineers who want accuracy, confidence, and reliable translation from their home studio. These kits use deeper bass traps, expanded ceiling clouds, SubFreq modules, and symmetry-driven placement to create a monitoring environment that stays honest and consistent.

If you're ready for a room that tells the truth every time you hit play — a space where low-end comes into focus, imaging locks in, and mixes translate everywhere — these kits were built for you.

Every room is different. Windows, doors, furniture, and ceiling heights all affect where panels should go for the best results.

When you purchase any Room Kit, we'll design a custom layout specifically for your space. After your order is placed, we'll reach out to collect room dimensions and photos, then create a personalized placement plan showing exactly where each panel should go.

This is the same design service we offer through our Free Room Advice program, typically a $500+ value. The difference: with a Room Kit purchase, your product selection is already sorted, so we can focus entirely on optimizing placement for your room.

Room Kits are built to order in our Nashville shop. Production typically takes 1 to 2 weeks, with most orders completed in 8 to 10 business days. Once finished, orders usually arrive within 3 to 5 business days.

Smaller orders ship via UPS Ground, while larger orders ship via LTL freight to keep costs reasonable. Shipping is available within the continental U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii.

Local pickup is available in Nashville.

Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused and in original packaging. A 10% restocking fee applies, and return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Custom and special-order products are not eligible for return.

All panels and diffusers included in Room Kits carry a 3-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal indoor use.

Every Room Kit includes all the hardware you need to install panels in multiple configurations. You're not locked into a single layout.

Included hardware supports:

  • Standard wall mounting (2" Z-Clips included with every panel)
  • Corner mounting for bass traps panels
  • Ceiling clouds and flush-mount ceiling panels
  • Suspended installs in front of windows, built-ins, or furniture

Our suggested layouts show one way to arrange your kit, but your custom room design will show the best placement for your specific space. Installation guides are available as downloadable PDFs for every mounting method.

Each Room Kit includes multiple panel types. Full specifications, absorption data, and installation guides for every product are available on the individual product pages:

  • Hi/Mid Acoustic Panel
  • Broadband Acoustic Panel
  • Bass Trap Acoustic Panel
  • Tri-Corner Trap
  • SubFreq Bass Trap
  • Scatter Face Diffuser

Links to relevant product pages and downloadable guides will be included based on which kit variant is selected.

Uncompromising by Design.

At this level, the room becomes your biggest asset. Accurate monitoring lets you work quickly, stay inspired, and avoid being distracted by a room that's misleading you. Mixing requires precision and symmetry — sometimes even placing panels over windows or closet doors if they disrupt early reflections.

Music City Acoustics Room Kits can be installed a number of different ways depending on your room. There is NO one right way to install your treatment! Every room kit model shows the panels in what we think would be the ideal distribution with the panels included.

What Makes Mix Rooms Different

Mixing requires the highest level of precision: symmetry, stable imaging, flat low-end, and predictable decay. Mixer Kits are designed to solve these challenges even in non-ideal rooms.

Mixer Essential

Foundational control and clarity.

Mixer Plus

Expanded cloud + stronger symmetry.

Not Sure if the Mixer Kit Is Right for You?

Mixer Kits are built for accuracy and translation. If your workflow is more creative than technical, here's how our other kits compare.

Your Questions: Answered

  • Mixer Kits are modeled in an 11'x15'x8'7" room. Rooms of this size or larger get the most benefit from the depth of treatment these kits provide. Smaller rooms can still work, though you may find the coverage more than you need. Every kit includes hardware for walls, ceilings, corners, and suspended installs.

  • No. The suggested layouts show one way to arrange each kit, but every room is different. When you purchase a Room Kit, we'll create a custom layout based on your specific room dimensions, window and door placement, and how you use the space. That's included free with every kit purchase.

  • Yes. If you start with Essentials and want to expand later, you can add panels individually. Keep in mind that different kit tiers sometimes use different panel types, so upgrading isn't always a direct addition. Contact us if you want help planning a path that makes sense for your room and goals.

  • Every Room Kit includes all the hardware you need: 2" Z-Clips for wall mounting, corner trap hardware, ceiling panel hardware, and suspended wall panel hardware for mounting in front of windows or built-ins. Installation guides are available as downloadable PDFs for every mounting method.

  • Mixer Kits prioritize accuracy and translation over everything else. They use deeper panels (Bass Traps and SubFreq absorbers) for stronger low-frequency control, larger ceiling clouds for better vertical absorption, and more aggressive corner treatment. The goal is a room that tells you the truth so your mix decisions translate to every playback system.

  • Heavy absorption can make a room feel too tight or dead. Scatter Face diffusers add depth and dimension back into the space by scattering mid and high frequencies while the panels underneath handle low-end control. This keeps the room accurate without sacrificing the sense of space and openness that makes long mixing sessions comfortable.
